Driveway:
This is our driveway. Please note the sign says Twin Halls Way, even though Google Maps has it as Twin Hills Way.
Parking:
Please park in front of the house or the garage. Do not park in any of the property roadways (like this guest) as this blocks our neighbor's access to their properties.
Entry Code:
This is the main entry door. There is a keypad to the right of the door for punching in the code you received. After punching in the code press the red button below

You are a guest at our house. We expect our guests to respect our property and belongings. You agree to notify us if anything is damaged or lost.
By staying with us, you agree to follow the house rules and manual
Quiet Hours start at 10pm. Please respect our neighbors.
Please do not trespass on neighbor's properties.
Please clean up after your dog
You are expected to leave the home as clean as you found it, please take out the trash and close the door behind you before leaving

In Long Lake we separate our trash and recycling manually. There are two trash bins in the house one for general trash and one for all recyclables [paper, glass, plastic, cans]
Once your house bin is full, please take out the trash to the recycling area behind the metal shed [photo here] and please separate all recycling into the labelled bins. If the bins outside is full, please let us know.

We have a Samsung Smart TV installed, connected to google assistant. We have a subscription for Netflix, Disney+ & Youtube TV.
All you need is the samsung remote to control the TV.
We also have a google speaker in the Living Room. Just say "hey google" and it will activate.

Our grille is a Napoleon high BTU grille. It is propane fired, please DO NOT put charcoal in the grille (yes people have done that).
We do inspect the grille after each stay and you will be charged a fee if we find the above to be the case.
If you would like a charcoal fire or an open fire meal, please use our fire pit instead. Personally I love an open fire cooked meal

Feel free to have a bonfire. You can use the firewood that is there but please be kind enough and conscientious to replace it for the next guest. You can purchase firewood from Stewarts or any of the roadside stands, or there is plenty of dead firewood and branches laying around our property [please respect our neighbor's privacy].
Let's have fun with this, I wonder if by the end of the season our pile will grow or diminish.

The wood burning fireplace is fully operational. Just make sure the flue is open by pulling on the chain and hooking it on the bracket. It’s bet to start a small fire to make sure there is a good draft and add more firewood accordingly

You are welcome to take advantage of the private beach, docks and launching area at Motel Long Lake & cottages. Just please inform the staff that you are from The Black Cottage. Please note that there are no public restroom on the Motel Long Lake property.
